Chochinov Curry LLP is a dynamic accounting firm located on Broadway in the heart of downtown. We are currently looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our Administrative team and assist in various tasks and responsibilities in the office.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in emailing clients monthly outstanding balance statements;

· Prepare new client files both personal and corporate and enter into database;

· Daily filing;

· Answer the phone and check voicemail when required (back-up);

· Greet and provide general support to clients and visitors;

· Keep record of inventory and order office supplies when needed;

· Liaise with staff and management to handle requests and inquiries;

· Open and distribute incoming regular mail and co-ordinate the flow of information internally;

· Assist Visitors with their questions and concerns when required;

· E-file returned signed profile documents, Nils, etc.;

· Address returned mail and address changes; making sure addresses are correct in QuickBooks, Access, CaseWare etc.;

· Courier and expedite daily packages, including any outgoing mail and recording in our out of office log;

· Take payments over the phone, mail, and in-person for accounts receivables, including reconciling into Quick books;

· Handle e-mails from clients, new incorporated corporations, internal sources etc.

· Preparing GST and Net filing;

· Handling email requests for T1 Generals, T1’s, T2 requests, Financial Statements, NOA’s, etc.;

· Assembling and printing of Year Ends for Corporations including Capital Dividends etc.

· Assist in assembling T1’s, T3’s, T4’s/T5’s, Salary Schedules, etc.;

· Accounts Payables and Client payroll; Source deductions and instalments;

· Update Access with new client information, clients no longer with us, new address, etc.;

Requirements:

· Completion of secondary school is required;

· One to two years’ experience in a similar field is required;

· Experience of QuickBooks would be helpful;

· Being able to set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems;

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

· Determine and establish office procedures and routines;

· Excellent computer skills (Microsoft), especially typing;

· Excellent with proofreading correspondence, forms and other documents;

· A high accuracy level of attention to detail both written and electronic with a low margin of error;

· Organizational Skills and high efficiency rate;

· Being able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment;
