Boulanger Industrial Group has been providing trusted overhead crane, control, millwright, welding and rigging solutions and services to Canada’s National Capital Region for over 25 years.

We are currently seeking an Apprentice Technician (Industrial Mechanic) to join our dynamic team. The chosen candidate will benefit from a 4-day work week and overtime opportunities. Health and dental benefits are available and employees are paid for their travel from our shop to the job location. Salary to be determined based on abilities and experience.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and willing to learn. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing equipment inspections, repairs, installations, troubleshooting and responding to breakdown calls to detect faults, malfunctions and determine extent of repairs.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
• Test each repair for complete functionality.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately and completely; time tickets, service reports, inspection reports and sales lead generation.
• Setup, operate, adjust and maintain all service machines and equipment.
• Maintain all company equipment and tools in compliance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and certifications.
• Display a professional image and work within a team environment to accomplish goals.
• Maintain work area, equipment and tools in a clean and organized manner, following all safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ABILITIES

• Mechanically inclined
• Critical thinking skills.
• Excellent people and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Current driver's license in good standing.
• Clean criminal records check

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
