AZ / DZ Driver
Temp to Perm, Contract

Workforce Inc is sourcing candidates for several AZ / DZ Driver positions, for a client located in the Thunder Bay and Rosslyn, ON area. The successful candidates will collect various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from various customer sites and are required to load and unload trucks. The successful candidates can operate a variety of trucks and equipment including vacuum trucks, box trucks, tractor trailer, etc. that fit their license. They are required to complete all necessary paperwork and government documents, and function as a point of contact for the customer-base. Communication with the supervisor/dispatcher is required daily. Candidates will generally work without direct supervision and be part of a team that works make sure all customers are serviced in a professional and timely manner. Driving hours subject to legislation.

Overtime and weekend work is common.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primarily, assist plant operations on a shift schedule
• Operate several types of trucks including Vacuum, Hydrovac, Box, Van trailer and Roll-off
• Power washing and High-Pressure Water blasting as required.
• Operate Pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment
• Safely load, transport, and unload a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous goods
• Complete all required transport documents including pre & post trip inspections
• Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, MOE, MOL & MTO
• Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner
• Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate run/paperwork completion

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

• Valid AZ or DZ license
• Clean driver’s abstract
• OSSD / Highschool diploma
• Mechanical aptitude
• Strong work ethic
• Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Shift work with overtime, as required
