Backend Developer Job at Novisto
Your responsibilities will include:
- Database design and modelling;
- Implement new micro services;
- Design, build and improve REST API services;
- Design, architect and implement new features and major refactors;
- Write unit and end-to-end tests;
- Maintain and support the product features.
- Follow the policies and procedures
- Apply secure code practices (eg. Top 10 OWASP)
- Respect and follow the established security controls
- Report any risk, incident or anomalous situation that could affect the security of novisto or customer data
What we are looking for:
- Degree in Computer Science or relevant past experiences
- 5+ years of experience developing in Python
- 4+ years of experience developing backend APIs
- 4+ years experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- 2+ year experience in maintaining python backend web services in a production environment.
- Experience with cloud services and infrastructure
- Experience in frontend development
- Strong database modelization skills. Attention to detail and understand the importance of maintaining the quality of the data over time
- Excellent understanding of how to build good REST APIs
- Must know how to use and leverage python web frameworks such as django, flask or FastAPI
- Experience with building unit tests and testing in general
- Experience with python ORM such as SQLAlchemy, peewee or tortoise
- Experience with NoSQL Database Systems
- Experience with ElasticSearch
- Any experience with asynchronous python, especially in the context of web services
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- An analytical mind, great attention to detail
- Capacity to take ownership of your project
- Autonomous, fast learner
