Nova Scotia Health’s Research, Innovation and Discovery portfolio is transforming health care delivery and improving the health of all Nova Scotians by leading initiatives that deliver high-impact health care solutions and developing strategic partnerships with clinical champions, industry, healthcare foundations, governments and academic partners. Reporting to the Manager of Innovation, the Innovation Business Analyst is responsible for the effective oversight of the financial day-to-day operations and budget of the NSH Innovation Hub. The Innovation Business Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and developing all processes and reporting related to the administration of the innovation portfolio. This includes the maintenance of financial frameworks and operational structure. The Innovation Business Analyst supports decision making within Research, Innovation and Discovery by conducting analysis on operational and financial data and presenting findings to Innovation leadership.
Qualifications
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Graduate of a recognized post-secondary business and/or Health Services Administration, or an equivalent combination of training and demonstrated work experience with an emphasis on compensation, contract management, or financial management within a health care context- Masters level training in Business Administration, Health Service Administration or equivalent is considered an asset
- Three to five years financial, contract-related and/or program administration experience preferably in a health care environment
- Experience in financial analysis with an understanding of the impact of technical and operational changes within a large complex organization
- Experience in setting benchmarks and monitoring ongoing performance
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain excellent customer service
- Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills

Hours of Work
Permanent, Full-Time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
Beginning March 27th, 2023. Start date may be subjected to change.
Salary Information
$31.08 - $38.85 hourly
$60,606.39 - $75,757.89 annual salary
