Position Overview: *
We are looking for Business Systems Analyst to join our growing team for a 12 month contract. Reporting to the Manager, Business Systems Analysts, this role is responsible for working with various stakeholders to identify, understand and document business system requirements and processes, with the goal to recommend, build and support the delivery of quality systems solutions and/or enhancements to existing systems.

The Business Systems Analyst will aid in the resolution of reported defects within the scope of their projects and/or enhancements and will work with various functional areas to ensure new applications, features or functionality are well understood and effectively communicated.

Key responsibilities include:

• Understand and translate project business requirements into IT system requirements. Includes meeting with various stakeholder to refine business, financial, and operational requirements, along with system goals. Conduct current state analysis, impact and/or gap analysis to identify system impacts, workflows, processes, solution architecture from the defined business requirements.
• Develop clear, quality design documents that outline solution details including context diagrams, system workflows or processes, data schemas and/or interfaces that allow team members to clearly understand and follow for development, testing, support and training activities.
• Collaborate and contribute in the planning, design, development, testing and deployment of solutions to new applications and/or enhancements to existing applications. Update and revise documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Consult in the resolution of reported defects within the scope of projects and/or enhancements knowledge areas.
• Prepare and deliver reports, presentations with recommendations or approaches to meet business requirements within project objectives.
• Research system capabilities for optimal system solutions, currency and scalability.
• Lead design sessions (ex. JAD) in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations and information process flow.
• Participate in pre and post deployment activities, including operational readiness testing, release planning, and post deployment planning and testing.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• College Diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, or management information systems.
• Minimum 5 years’ practical experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated ability in developing and documenting system solutions and specifications.
• Experience supporting cross functional projects with a focus on overseeing the design, development and implementation of system solutions and defect resolutions
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to conduct research into project and system issues as required
• Strong self-initiative, interpersonal skills, with an ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members and stakeholders at all levels.
• Product and systems knowledge in internet services (fixed wireless, satellite and/or fibre), home phone, router.
• Experience with Salesforce, SAP and/or Azure DevOps are an asset.
