$45–$50 an hour
Some of our Large and Mid size medical clients in Mississauga, Toronto, Scarborough,
Calgary, Medicine Hat are looking for some experienced Cardiac Sonographers for their busy clinics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to work independently, and collaborate with interprofessional teams
- Produce high quality cardiac diagnostic medical images.
- Produce a clear preliminary report for interpreting physicians.
- A Sonographer who holds a strong patient focus. Verbally instructing the patient of the examination and guides the patient verbally throughout to ensure the patient is comfortable for the duration of the exam.
- Keep a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation. Including proper care of machine, probes, and maintenance logs.
- Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional development in order to continue to provide optimal patient care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, graduate of an accredited educational program in Cardiac Sonography
- Current registration with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) and/or CRCS-AE with Sonography Canada
- Current active member with CMRITO(College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario)
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills as relates to patient care
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated commitment to and involvement with own profession (e.g. membership with professional association, etc.) preferred
- Experience with IV insertion and contrast echo considered an asset, but willing provide education and training.
- Strong communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a hospital and clinic environment
