Bert's Trucking Ltd is looking for an experienced Class 1 driver to join our team.
Water is life!
Some of the purest and best tasting water on the planet comes from British Columbia – in particular, the Pemberton area. Bert’s Trucking has been transporting this water from pristine sources to water bottling plants for decades. Our sources come from glaciers and artisanal wells, each source providing a unique water.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean driver's abstract.
- Minimum 3 years of Class 1 driving experience.
- Must be located (or relocating to) the Sea to Sky area (Pemberton, Whistler, Vancouver).
- High level of personal integrity and a strong work ethic.
- Professional demeanor under stressful situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Operate and drive tractor trailers to transport water over highway, urban and rural routes
- Conduct routine truck inspections to ensure safety requirements are met by performing pre/post trip inspections
- Ensure loads are delivered on time from the water source to customers
- Maintain records of deliveries, water samples, truck information and customer invoices
- Provide exceptional service to customers and build/maintain quality customer relationships
- Should be self-motivated, punctual, energetic and be able to work with a diverse customer group
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $33.00-$35.00 per hour
