Teacher for Combined Foundations/Pathways Classroom - 1.0 fte

Location: Lindsay Thurber High School

Commencing August 25, 2023
The successful teacher will provide leadership and support as part of a collaborative team to effectively meet the needs of students with diverse learning profiles.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
● The ability to provide flexible programming for a diverse group of learners with mild to severe learning profiles.
● Commitment to supporting inclusive learning environments at a variety of grade levels for students with complex learning needs.
● A focus on supporting students in their various areas of development based on strengths and interests for areas of growth.
● The ability to organize and facilitate student access to contracted service providers such as Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech services.

Desirable Qualifications:
● Eligible for an Alberta Professional Teaching certificate, additional training or experience in the field of special education will be an asset.
● Successful teaching experience.
● Experience in teaching students with complex learning and/or behavioural profiles.
● Strong organizational skills.
● Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to positively interact with a team.
