About the Opportunity

Our Content Specialist is part of a dynamic team of professionals who collaborate to inspire meaningful engagement through the delivery of strategic and brand-aligned content. The Strategy and Brand team provides communications, marketing, brand, creative design and sales support to the Shannex, Parkland and Faubourg du Mascaret brands, and the Content Specialist is the primary storyteller on the team. In this role, you will:
Manage Content Strategy
Manage Master Content Calendar, develop plans and create content for all storytelling channels

Ensure regular content audits are conducted and recorded (digital screens, website) – with support from other team members

Chair weekly content meetings and engage all Brand team members in content development
Ensure content and voice adheres to Shannex, Parkland and Faubourg brands
Devise and implement marketing and communication initiatives that can be communicated through content channels
Assist with media scan review and circulation
Strategically plan and create engaging content for all platforms, including blog pieces, articles, social media posts, newsletters, marketing materials and videos
Oversee concept, content development and production of quarterly magazine Connections
Achieve KPI’s and targets for each social media channel (acquisition, engagement, etc.)
Analyze and react to web traffic and relevant community metrics
Establish strong relationships with internal operational leaders and management teams and attend events.
Ensure executive and operational leadership awareness of content plans and support for events and activities
Liaise with other departments to stay updated on new organizational and marketing initiatives, service developments, and to ensure brand consistency

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability, you bring:

A degree in communications, public relations, English, journalism, marketing, or related field is required.
Experience with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube is essential.
Knowledge of Hootsuite or similar programs to manage online postings on different platforms.
Competency in photography and video editing
At least two years' experience creating content and managing social media platforms
Licenced driver and ability to travel occasionally
