Customer Service Representative Job at Spicers Canada ULC
Backed by a fifth-generation family-owned company, Spicers is a leading distributor of commercial print and business papers, specialty products, graphic solutions, sign & display equipment and materials, and packaging and facility supplies and equipment.
We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 23 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites.
We are currently looking for a full-time Customer Service Representative located in Winnipeg, Manitoba reporting to the Customer Service Manager.
Your Challenge:
Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Representative’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Providing excellent, friendly customer service in the showroom/front counter, order desk, and for walk-in customers
- Keeping the showroom fully stocked (pulling product from warehouse) while maintaining clean and tidy shelves
- Providing current pricing on product and promote featured products (clearance, sale, etc.)
- Balancing the daily cash report and process OAC payments from accounting.
- Processing customer’s orders via fax, email, and telephone while assisting the Account Managers
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and Outside Sales team
- Receiving customer feedback and escalating/resolving issues as required
- Stay up-to-date and maintaining knowledge on all products, including custom orders (boxes, labels & shelving)
- Other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in sales and customer service
- Industry knowledge considered an asset
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
- Proficient in using MS Office
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent customer service, teamwork and team building skills
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Punctual, dependable, and reliable
- Self-directed and self-motivated
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in an open office area with lots of activity
- Work using a computer and telephone for long periods of time
- Focus for long hours on tasks that require attention to detail
- Able to meet deadlines
