The Design Assistant Colour role sits within the Concept Design Org. Our goal is to elevate the Lululemon product by creating unique and original colour palettes and implement into the assortment. Our team will drive excellence in colour through the connection of design, development and merchandising.
A day in the life:

- A Design Assistant for Colour is building knowledge and expertise to become a Jr Colour Designer
- Provides support to the Colour Design team and creates Seasonal Colour guides Keeping sample and colour library up to date
- Maintains archives of Colour Overview files and colour theory designs on shared server.
- Works closely with Senior Colour designers to understand how to create colour theories.
- Well informed of current colour trends, art, fashion, design and sport related products through market research to keep ahead of consumer needs.
- Have a strong creative eye and can deliver head to toe colour theory and expressions.
- Have a clear understanding of raw materials and awareness of how colour executes onto different compositions.
- Support Senior Colour Designers in colouring into a collection, understanding core baseline needs, fashion forward and commercial interest and balancing campaign and trend setting colour theories.
- 0-2 Years industry experience
- BA, BFA or BS in Textile, Fashion / Art design or similar
- Proficient use of Adobe Photoshop, illustrator also preferable
- Understanding of different dye techniques, fabrics and garment construction
- Acknowledges the presence of choice in every moment and takes personal responsibility for their life.
- Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results.
- Communicates with honesty and kindness, and creates the space for others to do the same.
