Director of Foodservice Sales Job at Venor
Venor is proud to partner with Capital Foodservice on their search for a Director of Sales. Capital Foodservice is a family-owned and operated business. It is a well established and recognized full service provider of both food service and retail products.
Reporting to the Vice President, the Director of Sales will lead, develop, and mentor the Sales Team in order to meet customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives as well as supporting new and organic growth.
The Director of Sales will be strategic and analytical in their approach to drive results. The company is entrepreneurial and will require an “hands on” approach. The role is based in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Analyze results and data to identify successes and opportunities.
- Achieve or ideally exceed sales targets through ownership of sales objectives, and through effective communication and accountability.
- Participate in the establishment of policies and/or best practices to drive results and/or improve internal processes.
- Lead, mentor and develop members of the sales team.
- Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with high valued customers.
- Act as a champion for the Company, effectively communicating the value offered by the Company.
- Understand category-specific trends and opportunities.
- Pro-actively report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of leading a sales team with a proven track record achieving KPI’s. Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive level. Demonstrable experience in sales, developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions. Proven ability to manage and drive sales plans from beginning to end and to position products against competitors.
As the successful candidate you will have the ability to build good working cohesive internal relationships within the company, using effective communication methods to derive appropriate response and learning. Communicate professionally with outside vendors and business partners to further forge strong working relationships. Ability to think independently and make decisions quickly, using knowledge and experience to protect the overall goals of the Company.
