Job description

The Dispatcher role assists the Operations Supervisor in coordinating warehouse operations and delivery functions, including the scheduling and deployment of drivers and delivery trucks, to meet the needs of our customers. To be effective in the role, the Dispatcher must have the ability to create positive working relationships with both customers and employees. Demonstration of leadership skills and high-level attention to detail and customer service is key.

Responsibilities:

• Interacting with other staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of customer deliveries.
• Establishing, maintaining, and executing a daily dispatch plan to ensure the accuracy, efficiency and timeliness of all outbound truck deliveries.
• Maintain and manage all records relating to equipment maintenance and Provincial Safety Regulations.

Qualifications:

• GED (Grade 12)
• Forklift Certificate (asset)
• A positive attitude and the ability to participate as a member of a team focused on providing great customer service in a cost-effective manner.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written skills
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced changing environment.
• Operations, warehouse, and computer experience.
• Good knowledge of building materials (an asset).
