Drafting Technician

MOBIA is currently seeking a Drafting Technician to join our team, as a drafter you will be an integral part of a customer focused team, working with CAD and other systems to draft telecommunications plans.

We are hiring in Windsor, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare CAD drawings from concept to final design, drawn to scale.
• Import AutoCAD, TIF or other file formats and hard copy maps to create electronic base maps.
• Prepare municipal consent or utility application drawings from concept to final design.
• Follow drawing standard procedures as set out by our customers.
• Meet quality standards as outlined.
• Meet scheduled deadlines.
• Communicate updates with project manager / project coordinator.
• Update as-built records / drawings from field.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills / Qualifications:

• Must be Proficient with AutoCAD Version 2016 or higher.
• Experience reading / producing CAD drawing / work plans.
• Experience in a telecommunications environment is an asset.
• Post-Secondary Education Civil Engineering Technician, Architectural program is preferred.
• Self-starter with high attention to detail.
• Excellent time management, ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to interface with other departments.
• Proactive problem solver with strong listening skills.
