Essence Property Management & Consulting is looking to hire on a Draftsperson to handle the drawings for new construction and renovation projects in the apartment rental sector. We need someone who is organized, driven, and a self-starter as we’re looking to get a number of projects going.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Completion of construction drawings for permits, engineers, and carpentry crews

· Completion of design concept drawings and elevations

· Prepares & submits permit and variance applications

· Completion of detailed 3D rendering for Sales Aides

· Assist Project Developers and Designers with product research, sourcing and ordering of materials

· Assist in site visits and verifying measurements

QUALIFICATION

· Degree or diploma in the field of drafting/design/CAD operation

· A proven understanding of standard Microsoft Office software

· Ability to conceptualize parts and details in three dimensions

· Effective interpersonal skills, both written and oral

· Proficiency with construction drawing, which include, Millwork and Structural Drawings, Detailed Floor plans, Framing Plans, Building sections and assemblies.

· Attention to detail and committed to technical excellence

· Proficiency in 3D software is an asset

· Detail oriented, strong organizational, navigational, and time management skills, inquisitive nature, and the ability to break down sophisticated processes into simpler tasks and execute accordingly

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Halifax, NS B3N 1K8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
• drafting: 1 year (preferred)
