Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a field related to child development
- At least 2 years’ recent related experience is required,
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Knowledge of relevant socio-historical events relevant to Indigenous culture.
- Must be sensitive to and respectful of cultural differences, differences in socio-economic status and lifestyle diversity. Must be non-judgmental.
- Use of computer, various operating systems, and applications (MS Office Suite)
- Demonstrated ability to teach skills and work effectively with others.
- Ability to work effectively with other professionals in the agency and in the community
- Knowledge of group process and facilitation techniques.
Job Summary
Through evidence-based interventions, consultations, and education, the Infant Development Program (IDP) is designed to assist families to encourage their child’s development. IDP is a family-centered, home based, program that serves children from birth to three years of age.
The Infant Development Consultant will provide services for infants with, or at risk for developmental delay and will work with their families to optimize their child’s development. The Consultant will work using a family-centered model while promoting inclusion and participation in community-based activities.
Required:
- Valid class 5 driver’s license & satisfactory drivers abstract
- Criminal Record Check clearance
- COVID19 Fully Vaccinated (2 shots) required
Schedule:
- 4.5 hour shifts
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Must be a Canadian Citizen or entitled to work in Canada. Must reside in Canada and be willing to relocate to the community of Fort Nelson,BC. We are a non profit, no moving allowance is available,

Part-time hours: 24 per week
Salary: $25.69-$28.87 per hour
