Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Operations, the Ecommerce Fulfillment Group Manager will be responsible for strategically leading the Ecommerce warehouse staff to ensure customers receive their products in full and on time. The position is located in Ottawa and willprimarily focuses on managing the warehouse team while also ensuring operations in the Fulfillment Centre are cost effective and efficient. Ecommerce Fulfillment Group Manager, Role Highlights:
Leading & People Management (40%)
Monitor receiving activities
Monitor the processing of online orders
Analyze current and future staffing levels to maintain SLAs
Coordinate continuous process improvement
Recommend changes to the organization structure for the team
Induct Team Members into new roles
Formulate and assign tasks to Team Members
Hire, train, coach and manage a team of associates
Provide appropriate developmental experiences to Team Members
Strategy, Planning and Reporting (30%)
Lead and manage the operational plan ensuring the digital business meets its fiscal and customer experience targets
Own the continuous improvement plan and execution based on business needs and trends
Act as the key contact with cross functional partners in the organization in supporting the execution of the “Ship to Home” strategy
Customer Service (15%)
Resolve customer services inquiries on an ad hoc basis with the assistance of the customer service team
Health and Safety (15%)
Monitor and ensure FC is compliant with all forms of necessary legislation and ensure policies are adhered to
Monitor and ensure all health and safety requirements are being adhered to
Ecommerce Fulfillment Group Manager, Key Qualifications:
10+ years in Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Operations Management
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Management and/or related field
5+ years in a leadership role preferably in the eCommerce/Retail/3PL industry
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are an asset
Strong system knowledge of WMS (warehouse management system, ex Manhattan, Ship Hero)
Strong knowledge of Canadian carriers and how their transportation networks operate
Experience negotiating agreements with service providers/3rd party partners
Knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety laws and regulations
Able to effectively lead projects from inspection to implementation
Analytical and trouble shooting skills to resolve complex problems
Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization
