Job summary
GS Pro Wire has 2 rewarding opportunities for fabricator/machine operators who enjoy working in a manufacturing environment. Workers hired into this position will be trained to produce a range of products for the Mining and Aggregate industries. Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred but required.
Responsibilities
- Operating various industrial manufacturing machines and hand tools.
- Understands the work activities of each workstation, the co-ordination of workflow to meet schedules and the importance of maintain a high standard of housekeeping of the workstations.
- Have strong knowledge of basic mathematical principals such as length, diameters, fractions and counts.
- Understands the quality requirements of the products and the ability to preform the first quality check.
- Have strong attention to detail.
Physical demands
- Ability to stand and preform highly physical repetitive tasks for and extended period
- Ability to lift 60 lbs
- Ability to operate forklift safely and efficiently.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months
Salary: $13.75-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
