ABOUT THE JOB

In the Farm Site Technician role you will report to the Farm Site Manager and provide support to the farm site through general husbandry for the full lifecycle of the fish from smolt intakes, to growth, to harvest. This includes feeding, site maintenance, site security, fish monitoring and inspection, fish health and welfare, sampling, sea lice reporting, boat handling around the farm, and general farm tasks to keep the farm running successfully.

Our ideal candidates would be safety oriented and willing to work in a team environment with a passion for the industry.

• Related post-secondary education and/or experience within the industry
• Physical ability to complete repetitive tasks
• Respect for the need for safe working practices
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working outside and on the water
• Able to work safely and effectively in challenging outdoor weather
• Flexible approach to working to meet the demands of the job
• Marine related training certificates would be an asset
