Get to know us:

Moutcha Bay Resort is a remote destination dedicated to sustainable adventure tourism, located 2 hours west of Campbell River on Vancouver Island by road. We host guests from around the world and love to share our passion for saltwater sportfishing and other outdoor adventures.

Who you are:

• You have experience cleaning, filleting, and vacuum-packing fish
• You have Food Safe Level 1
• You are computer literate and can use Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• You are friendly and enthusiastic and understand how to communicate with guests
• You have the physical ability to lift up to 50lbs
• You can work while standing and bending
• You can work in cold conditions, wear ear protection, and safely handle sharp knives and small machinery

What you’ll be doing:

• You'll be filleting, trimming, portioning, and otherwise preparing fresh-caught fish
• You'll be vacuum-packing, labeling, and freezing prepared fish
• You'll be communicating with guests and fishing guides
• You'll be entering information into computer programs, organizing forms, and tracking orders
• You'll be taking payments with a POS system and completing daily cash-outs
• You'll be receiving fresh-caught fish, recording the catch, and ensuring adherence to DFO regulations
• You'll be boxing and strapping prepared fish and preparing transport paperwork
  
• You'll be cleaning the plant, fridges, and freezers
• You'll be working as part of a team of fish processors at a busy high-end resort
• You'll be helping to create memorable guest experiences

Working with us:

We are seeking to fill 5 fish processor positions in 2023. These positions have anticipated start dates between May 25 and July 1, 2023. They have anticipated end dates between August 25 and September 24. Contract length is subject to change based on the demands of the season.
