WE ARE LOOKING TO HIRING A FORKLIFT MECHANIC FOR OUR EDMONTON SHOP.

Millwrights, Agricultural mechanics, and Automotive journeyman will be actively considered as transferable.

7:00 Am - 3:30 Shift available

GENERAL DUTIES

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of equipment, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, request parts for, and repair Forklift equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and request parts from parts personnel
• test equipment and check attachment operation as required

Required Skills

• Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with Shop Manager, and branch personnel
• Must be able to meet physical demands (climbing, overhead lifting/postures, prolonged standing, sensory processing, fine motor control)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to work unsupervised

Required Experience

• Previous mechanical experience in a Materials Handling equipment environment is preferred
• Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $36.00-$39.00 per hour
