The Pool Shoppe is a well-respected and established family owned and operated business based in Hamilton since 1968. We are seeking energetic, hardworking individuals to join our growing team of professionals. The ideal candidates will provide the highest level of customer service with enthusiasm and commitment. This position is suited towards post-Secondary students and equivalent. This is a rewarding multi-faceted role with growth potential and advancement. Training is provided.

Job Responsibilities

· Assist team members with proper opening techniques of swimming pools

· Assist with general swimming pool maintenance

· Basic understanding of water chemistry and proper maintenance of pools and spas

· Assist with installation of pool liners

· Assist with the installation of above ground pools

· Assist construction crew with swimming pool renovations

· Assist with proper closing techniques of swimming pools

· Assist with the installation of winter safety covers

· Maintain a safe and clean work site

· Maintain a safe and organized service vehicle and its contents

· Complete all necessary paperwork and work orders neatly and accurately

· Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

· Experience is not required however would be an asset, training is available

· Must have general knowledge with hand and power tools as well as gas-powered equipment

· Works well unsupervised as well as in a team environment

· Physically fit and have the ability to lift up to 50lbs

· Neat and clean appearance

· Work in all outdoor conditions

· Maintain a strong work ethic and have the willingness to learn. (Ask questions)

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

· Punctual

· Bondable

· Willing and able to work 44+ hours a week (including Saturdays in the peak months of May, June and if possible, September, October)
