WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

· Working on our production line to fulfill daily orders.

· Ensure proper protective equipment (PPE) is always worn while working

· Follows all applicable Sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP’s)

· Follow all applicable occupational health and safety and food safety procedures

· Inspect a bag/tub on a regular basis ensuring seal, tamper band affixed to tubs, data codes, labels are visible and correct label is placed on proper product, case codes, and product meets quality standards.

· Grade, package, and palletize various products, ensuring quality control standards are met.

· Operating production machines

· Maintain a safe work environment, sweeping the floor and removing any hazards (i.e. leaves on the floor, pallet strapping etc.) and leave work area clean at the end of each shift.

· Always follow all Health and Safety and Food Regulations and procedures, wearing Personal Protective Equipment as advised, such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, Teflon gloves, etc. and attend training sessions as required.

· Follow all Food and Safety Policies and ensuring supervisors or lead hands are kept up to date on concerns related to quality and safety issues.

· Ensure production quotas and other requirements set out by supervisors are met and that any quality concerns are reported to production supervisors.

· Report all workplace accidents or health and safety concerns to a supervisor. Ensure the quality of the products is good, both physically and visually. Report any concerns to lead hand and supervisors

WHO YOU ARE

· Independent worker

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment

· Good hand eye coordination

· Previous experience in the food production industry an asset

· Good command of the English language is an asset
