Position Title: Maintenance/Custodian (Full time)
Reports to: Principal
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, within the hours of 7am – 6pm. Travel required between 2 School Campus: Nobleton & Milton.
Compensation: Compensation will be determined by level of experience.

The Montessori Country School has two campuses located in Nobleton, York Region, and Milton, Halton Region, Ontario, Canada. We a fully-licensed childcare centre, registered private school and accredited Montessori school, where children receive care that is designed to help them develop their academic, emotional and social skills, and grow the foundations they will need to succeed in life. The Role
The School Maintenance/Custodian worker works to create a clean, orderly, and safe environment by performing a wide variety of cleaning and maintenance activities on site.

Success
The successful candidate attends to the specific needs of the school to main a clean and safe environment for our staff, students and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Dusting and sanitizing surfaces
• Wet and dry mopping
• Performs cleaning functions while operating cleaning equipment, light maintenance duties and occasional exterior work.
• Garbage and recycle collection and removal (inside and outside)
• Snow removal, salting and sanding as required for safety
• Maintain cleanliness of the building and grounds in all respects.
• Perform related duties as required for the daily operations of the school.
• Maintenance of Logs and Files.
• Follow assigned cleaning schedules to maintain expected standards of cleanliness.
• Follow School practices, procedures in relation to attendance, health and safety.
• Co-operates with colleagues, staff and students to assist in creating positive working relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

• Up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Strengths in organizational skills, and communication skills
• confident and flexible professionalism
