What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Food Manager, the Grocery Manager will perform a variety of responsibilities in the operation, ensuring alignment with our Core Values and Brand.

Key responsibilities include:

• Understanding and following Heritage Co-op’s Safety and Health Program and promoting a Culture of Safety including all Food Safety standards
• Providing exceptional Guest service to our Members and Guests, and living by our Brand expectations through our “You’re at Home Here” motto
• Assisting Food Manager with performance management, talent development, engagement, talent acquisition, orientation, and onboarding for all Team Members
• Responsible for overall safe, effective operations of the Grocery department, which includes but is not limited to scheduling, ordering, Brand standards, etc.
• Collaborate with fellow Team Leaders on displays and store projects
• Production, packaging and merchandising of product
• Order and receive product
• Work with Food Manager on promotions and marketing initiatives
• Ensure high level of image and cleanliness in line with our Brand expectations
• Other projects and assignments as required

This position requires the use of equipment, as well as heavy lifting of product.

• You have strong attention to detail as well as interpersonal and organizational skills
• You have previous Guest Service or leadership experience
• You have the ability to work effectively with others
• You have excellent leadership skills
• You are available to work flexible hours, which will include days, evenings, and weekends
