Hi, We are a small tree service company looking to complete our team of three, which has an opening due to my son leaving to teach school. Our focus is tree and stump removal, but we do some trimming. We do no planting or transplanting, and no tree health care.

Job description

This position is normally busier in summer than in winter, with spring through fall hours being 40 - 55 hours / week. During January and February we are open to extended holidays if preferred, usually planned before Christmas. All work is outdoors so there are rain / storm days off. However, occasionally we need to work at night or Saturdays or statutory holidays due to storm cleanup. You will then be offered an alternative day off.
You will be in charge of the Freightliner 106 chipper truck and chipper, including driving. There will be one other experienced crew member travelling and working with you. There are also trailers over 10,000 pounds that you would be pulling.

We do most removals by crane, so not much climbing, but if you like climbing, there may be some opportunities.

Requirements;

• Physically able to handle brush and wood all day.
• Minimum AZR license.
• Ability to read and understand work orders in English.
• Competence in operating equipment, specifically stump grinder, chainsaws, and chipper. We can train.
• Attention to detail, and respectful of property and people, as we are working on private property.
• Good team spirit, respectful and clean language.
• Mechanical and problem solving aptitude an asset.
