Our branded Cuisine Adventures products are sold in Club, Grocery and Mass Market retailers and our private label customer list includes North America’s top tier grocers.

Overview
Responsible for the safe maintenance and sanitation, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the goals and objectives of the company. The main goal being to improve and secure production equipment reliability.
The Maintenance Group Leader is responsible to provide leadership and technical guidance to optimize the performance of all plant equipment of both Concord facilities through the execution and implementation of maintenance and continuous improvement programs/projects. Assist in the implementation of long term strategies and solutions aimed at resolving technical problems, while providing a high level of service and support to the department’s internal customers. The incumbent will be responsible to lead and develop skills of technicians and operators for progressive and autonomous maintenance and executing long-term strategic plans.
The Maintenance Group Leader will demonstrate promote and exemplify the Company’s Core Values in Health & Safety, People, Quality/ Food Safety and Growth.
Responsibilities

  • Support the Maintenance Manager to coordinate all maintenance work in the facility and oversee the work of the maintenance team
  • Hands on approach to resolving mechanical and electrical issues that occur.
  • Work alongside mechanics and electricians to ensure all production lines are running on time
  • Schedule appropriate training to improve troubleshooting ability of team.
  • Send out a daily shift report
  • Work with maintenance planner to plan specific repairs for upcoming downtime Issue and follow up on preventative/predictive maintenance inspections and procedures.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, practices and policies.
  • Effective implementation and adherence to company’s Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures including but not limited to SQF, HACCP and GMP to ensure food safety and quality of products manufactured.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Industrial millwright (433A) and/or Industrial Electrical (442A)
  • A minimum of 5 years industrial millwright experience preferably in the food or beverage industry
  • Familiarity with electrical industrial installations, troubleshooting and mechanical repairs
  • Capable of reading electrical drawings
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working and teaching others troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Working Conditions Notations

  • Monday to Friday day Shift (6:00am to 3:00pm). (Some flexibility may be required).
  • Occasionally weekend work.
  • Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
  • Exposure to wet, humid, cold, dusty, outdoor and high noise environments
  • Exposure to food products flour, starch, meat, poultry, seafood, dairy etc.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial frozen food manufacturing environment with the associated noise/dust levels and varying temperatures refrigerated (6o-8o c) and freezer (-18o c)
