The Care Group (“TCG”) offers high quality residential care services to complex care clients in 8 homes throughout the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Based in Coquitlam, we are a privately owned and operated assisted living and complex care provider that offers both subsidized and private pay care.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for Health Care Support Workers to join our Gardens Team in Qualicum Beach, BC!
The Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) position is a new /temporary non-clinical role.
HCSWs will complete a modularized HCA training program over the approximate 12-month HCAP. Following completion of the HCA training program, the employee will be eligible to register with the BC HCA Registry and become employed as a Health Care Assistant.
The HCSW role delivers non-clinical, non-direct care supports to clients and residents. HCSWs are supervised by registered nurses or other health care professionals. Typical duties include:
- Establishing a caring relationship with residents and their families,
- Providing support and assistance with recreational activities,
- Assisting and directing visitors,
- Restocking supplies and performing housekeeping tasks, and
- Providing support and assistance at mealtimes.
Wage: $20.97
Shifts: 7am – 3pm and 12pm – 8pm. Shifts may be on weekdays and weekends.
