AICEIM Construction Ltd. is a contracting company with operations in Calgary,
Alberta and surrounding area. We specialize in consulting, design, procurement and installation of shallow utilities for residential and commercial development.

We are currently looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. Based out of
Cochrane area, mobile work out of the Cochrane area to other satellite communities around Calgary.

General Description: Provide mechanical assistance to crews working on sites as needed, self dispatch from Cochrane work location. Fleet maintenance and repair of Excavators / Backhoes / Digger Derricks / Effer Picker / Light & Heavy Duty (Gas
& Diesel) Pickups / Variety of Trailers / Small Engine Repairs & Servicing (Jumping
Jacks, Generators, Etc...)

Description Of Some Common Equipment: Cat 430 Backhoes, Komatsu 146
Backhoe, Cat 320 & 336 Excavators, Hitachi 200 Excavator, Effer 130 4s Crane,
International Durastar 4300 Digger Derrick, Ford F-350 up to F-750 both diesel and gas, Dodge 1500 up to 3500 both diesel and gas.

Duties:

• Perform, participate in and contribute to daily job site hazard assessments and bi-weekly safety meetings.
• Maintain a clean and tidy personal work area and assist with general cleaning duties in a workshop / yard environment.
• Oversee work of apprentice and assign tasks.
• Attend to on site equipment issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal interruption to project schedules.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pickups, backhoes, excavators, digger derricks, trailers, small engine tools.
• Diagnose equipment problems and determine repairs as needed.
• Service attachments and working tools such as plate tampers and hammers.
• Some welding as required.
• Maintain daily record of all work tasks and materials
• Order parts from suppliers as needed.
• Liaise with other shops for various other needs, Finning Canada / Tire Shops / Equipment Hauling / etc…

Skills, Abilities & Experience:

• Journeyman Certificate suitable for on-highway / off-road applications.
• Safety first attitude (safety orientation will be done upon hiring) Class 5 Drivers License with a clean abstract and Q endorsement.
• Need to be reliable, punctual.
• Hard working, team player dedicated to company success.
• Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical, including schematics and diagnostics of routine maintenance operations.
• Exceptional communication skills (both written & verbal)
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40.00-$48.00 per hour
