Shift: Day or Night – 14/14 Rotation; 11.5-hour days

Charter Flights: Charter Flights from Calgary or Edmonton, Bussing from Fort McMurray

$80 per day Incentive Program paid weekly, $25 per day Retention Program available for this position!

Jardeg is recruiting Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeypersons to join the team supporting Imperial Oil Kearl project on site near Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter Flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton travel hubs with Travel Allowance!

Heavy Duty Mechanics:

  • Complete hands-on maintenance and repair of all equipment and sizes - primarily CAT Haul Truck 785/793/797.
  • Large scale overhauls and rebuilds.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and services including cleaning and lubricating.
  • Complete work according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel.
  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance to meet manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.
  • Complete service reports.

Position Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal.
  • Haul truck experience required.
  • Construction Safety Training Systems Certification (CSTS-09 or CSTS-2020).
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Fit Test.
  • Truck Mounted Crane Training.
  • Basic Rigging Certification.

Preferred:

  • First Aid Level A or C.
  • Ariel Work Platform Certificate.
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection Certificate.
