Job Description:
The IELTS Administrator is responsible for the management and growth of the IELTS Test Centre, accountable for ensuring that the centre operates in strict compliance with globally consistent testing procedures, and leading expansion of the testing footprint of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all staff (Examiners, Invigilators, Administrative staff) are trained and comply with all testing processes as set out in the Administrators’ Manual.
- Recruiting, training, and ongoing management of test day staff (Examiners and Invigilators)
- Responding to candidate inquiries and communications
- Registering candidates and processing of candidate applications
- Pre-test planning, test-day and post-test administration in accordance with IELTS operating policies and procedures
- Weekly, monthly, and on-request reporting
- Security, ordering, return, and destruction of test materials in accordance with IELTS operating policies and procedures
- Maintaining accurate records of all IELTS test and staff materials
- Meeting centre growth targets and expanding testing opportunities for the test centre
- Work in close collaboration with local and global IDP administrative and marketing staff
Qualifications:
- Legal status to work in Canada
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of logistics, event management, or educational experience with demonstrated leadership and supervisory practice
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to achieve high levels of customer service
- Demonstrable strong communication abilities (oral and written) with commercial experience
- Highly effective at planning and organizing, and managing multiple competing priorities
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
- Able to work effectively under own initiative and at times under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to respond promptly to procedure and policy information received and to ensure its effective communication at a local level
- Strong computer literacy skills
Not required but desirable:
- Knowledge of IELTS test policies and procedures
- Previous experience in the management and storage of secure materials
- Understanding of the role of IELTS in international education, immigration, and professional accreditation as well as IDP activities in the international education arena.
