About the Opportunity

The Virtual Care Systems Analyst reports to an IM/IT Virtual Care Manager and will take direction from either the IM/IT Virtual Care Lead or Manager. This position is responsible for Virtual Care services quality improvement control, stakeholder evaluations, monitor performance metrics, assess current processes and procedures for trending issues, auditing and reporting, gaps analysis, assisting Virtual Care Leads with clinical initiative implementations, and support for Virtual Care technology solutions and functions across NSHA, IWK and its many external clients. The Virtual Care Systems Analyst works with their team to collaborate with key clinical and business stakeholders throughout the province as the organization, in partnership with the province’s Internal Services Department and the Department of Health and Wellness, moves towards the rationalization of disparate systems and the OPOR strategy.


The Virtual Care Systems Analyst will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the organization to leverage Virtual Care services aligned with the NSHA’s and its client’s strategic mission, vision and goals.


Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with other team members, clients and other stakeholders
  • Prepare stakeholder evaluations and reports, quality control documentation, and project management support
  • Perform key activities including business analysis, monitor and measure new virtual care initiatives and pilots, troubleshooting, as well as change and configuration management
  • Support Virtual Care Leads with clinical work flow analysis
  • Complete other duties as assigned in relation to the position description

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Degree or diploma in an Information Technology, Business Analysis or Health Related discipline. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in application programming, systems analysis, business analysis or systems support an asset.
  • Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology an asset.
  • Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting an asset.
  • Experience using and or supporting zoom an asset
  • Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management (PMP), and/or organizational change management an asset.
  • Experience supporting clinical application systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered an asset
  • Ability to troubleshoot and document issues, problems and implement resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience creating summary documentation based on evaluation and analysis an asset
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to document and solve issues
  • Organizational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to clearly communicate the NSHA vision, mission and values
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Two Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Incentives

$31.08 - $38.85 Hourly
