Job Description:
The successful candidate must be available for regular communication online and in person, commensurate with workload. Participation in departmental activity (including but not limited to regular committee/department meetings, personal and department development) is a required component of the position.
Dependent on qualifications, demand, and successful evaluations, additional sections of all of the above courses, and other HSCI offerings may be available in future semesters.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Epidemiology/Public Health required; PhD preferred,
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
- Background in research and/or applied practical work experience related to psychology/mental health/drug dependency required
- Post-secondary teaching experience is an asset
The contract will commence April 1 and course delivery will run May 1-Aug. 31, 2022. The position carries a 4.0 workload value (full time).
Salary placement is based on the Langara College instructors’ salary scale, in accordance with qualifications and experience.
Please note that all courses in HSCI are delivered in person
