About the Opportunity:

Conexiom is looking to fill the Intermediate Accountant AP role in Vancouver, BC. As an Intermediate Accountant AP with our Finance team, you will enjoy variety in your responsibilities and support a multi-national accounting function.

Responsibilities:

• Management of accounts payable process within Airbase system including:
  • Requesting vendors to input banking information
  • Review purchase orders for accurate accounts, entity, currency, project tagging and supporting documents
  • Ensure adherence to authority matrix for PO and bill approval
  • Application of vendor bills to correct POs
  • Overall AP process management for multiple entities and currencies including coordination of payments and timelines.
  • Ensure GST is captured correctly on vendor bills, leases, etc
• Payables reporting to senior Finance team for all entities
• Vendor bill payment using a variety of platforms including:
  • Issuance of virtual/ physical credit cards/ ACH payments through Airbase
  • Payments through financial institutions and virtual checks
• Sync payables and employee reimbursements correctly from Airbase to GL and conduct subsequent review
• Management of employee reimbursement process within Airbase system including:
  • Ensure all receipts attached and request missing receipts
  • Coding, entity, currency, project tagging is correct
  • Spend is in accordance to travel & entertainment policy
  • Initiate payments of reimbursements for all entities
  • Provide payment reports to payroll team
  • Record payments within Airbase and/or Sage Intacct ERP
• Credit Card reviews for receipts and correct coding & approvals.
• Take initiative to create efficiencies within processes and systems
• Maintain process documentation
• Conduct month end accounts payable close including:
  • Accruals, trade payables, and prepaids GL account reconciliations for Canada, USA, and UK entities.
  • Reconcile trade payables aging report and prepaids listing from Airbase to Intacct
  • Track and maintain recurring vendor invoice list to calculate required accruals
  • Posting of GST and VAT from Airbase to Intacct

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar Accounts Payable role
• Self-starter who asks questions and is naturally curious
• Outstanding attention to detail within their work
• Able to hold themselves accountable to their deliverables
• Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written
• Problem-solver, looking to find new and better ways of doing things
• Multi-currency / Multi-country experience is preferred
• Experience with Airbase and Sage Intacct is an asset
• Experience in the tech / software industry is an asset
• Intermediate Excel skills (must be able to conduct reporting and reconciliations in excel using v lookups and pivot tables)
