The Role:

Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the International Recruitment Officer is responsible for implementing Laureate College’s international student recruitment and admission initiatives in selected regions while overseeing the marketing development. With minimal supervision, the International Recruitment Officer plans, maintains and executes marketing and develops strong and solid cooperative relationship with internal and external partners. The International Recruitment officer is a crucial role in overseeing the admissions process, including maintaining Laureate’s integrity during every stage and through the process of verifying documentation.

As a key member of Laureate admission team, the International Recruitment Officer will have significant input into all issues relating to international marketing, recruitment and admission functions, and will fulfill the role of representing Laureate in a number of overseas countries. The Officer provides exceptional client-centred service on a consistent basis to all stakeholder groups, which is critical to Laureate College’s reputation for providing excellent student support and a high quality of academic offerings.

We are looking for an experienced, goal-oriented, organized and enthusiastic International Recruitment Officer to join our growing team and take our organization into the next level.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with the Director of Admissions and other team members to achieve Laureate College’s international student recruitment targets and overall international strategy.
  • Increase international student enrolment at Laureate College in each school year by recruiting international students from diverse regions.
  • Represent Laureate College in designated oversea markets to raise its international profile so as to promote our academic programs to partners, international educators, and prospective students.
  • Implement marketing and recruitment strategies through research and market analysis to maximize international student outreach.
  • Develop and deliver international student recruitment plans for specified markets in line with agreed departmental plans.
  • Produce and distribute relevant market performance and management data in support of international recruitment activity.
  • Plan, organize and implement various oversea student’s recruitment events including online activities such as webinars, presentation, and social media activities, to support recruitment plans.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and counselling to prospective students, potential partners and other key stakeholders in the student recruitment process.
  • Manage a network of recruitment agents in the designated region. This will include selecting and signing recruitment agencies, setting and managing performance targets, and ongoing monitoring and support.
  • Negotiate terms of engagement, provide training to recruitment partners, and keep the recruitment partner contacts engaged with Laureate College through regular communication.
  • Train and guide recruitment partners to improve the quality and volume of international applicants, ensuring top quality students apply to Laureate College.
  • Contribute to the development of relevant international web pages and promotional materials, for internal and external distribution within agreed institutional guidelines.
  • Liaise with the admissions team for the maintenance of a database of enquiries and applicants.
  • Interact with the Director of Admissions to provide feedback on admissions applications in a timely manner.
  • Undertake duties, as required, in support of operational demands within the department.
  • Follow through on enquiries to provide continuous communication from prospective students and their representatives.
  • Provide high quality market intelligence, expert knowledge and data to inform the development of recruitment strategies and to identify new business opportunities.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a relevant field such as Marketing & Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Cross-Cultural Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Social Sciences, or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of international student recruitment experience for secondary and/or post-secondary institutions.
  • Strong background working with international educational agencies and attending student recruitment fairs.
  • Exceptional communication verbal and written skills.
  • Self-motivated, with ownership spirit and with the ability to work independently within a team-based environment.
  • Proven ability to be flexible in adapting public speaking/presentation style to people of different backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of post-secondary educational systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills under ambiguous circumstances to ensure you provide the best outcome for our students while maintaining integrity with our partner relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to think innovatively and creatively in planning and developing a fresh approach to existing activities.
  • Personal experience studying, working and living abroad an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of MS Office.
  • Flexibility to take on a wide variety of duties and willingness to adapt work schedule as required
