Job Title: IT Security Analyst

Location: Mississauga

Role Type: Contractual

Type: Hybrid (Two days in the office)

Main Tasks:

• Perform Security analysis on tickets received from internal associates, document risk and create mitigation plans according to client Standards.
• Perform 2nd and 3rd level support for security tickets received.
• Coordinate resolution with global security and/or resolve own as needed.
• Documentation of risks and mitigation plans.
• Documentation of standards and policies

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Information Security or related disciplines, 5-7 years in Networking and IT infrastructure.
• Working experience with conducting Threat and Risk assessments and Vulnerability Assessments of IT systems.
• Working Experience with developing and implementing Information Security policies and procedures.
• Working Knowledge of best practice security frameworks (ISO2001/27002), commonly used risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to interpret and translate business requirements into technical security requirements that meet enterprise security standards and policies.
• Solid understanding of the commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Information Security field including, but not limited to operating systems and network security, application security, vulnerability analysis, encryption technologies, intrusion detection, incident response, business continuity management, etc.
• Working Knowledge of best practice security frameworks (ISO2001/27002), commonly used risk assessment methodologies.
• Practical experience with deployment and/or operation of commonly used information security solutions.
• University degree or diploma in Computer Systems, Security or related discipline.
• Strong communication skills including both technical and business writing, Strong documentation and presentation skills.
• Possession or working toward achieving the following professional qualifications: CISSP.
• Working knowledge of RSA, Microsoft CA, Cisco Firewall and VPN, Digital Certificates, Encryption (PGP, SSL, AES, etc.)
• More training oriented, must have good verbal communication skills.
