East Lake Welding Ltd. Is looking to add to our growing team of fabricators in our Airdrie facility. We are looking for an individual who is familiar with a metal fabrication shop environment, previous assembly experience is a necessity. B-Pressure Welders need not apply.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

• Journeyman Welder with CWB Certification Required -
• 2-4 years experience in Fabrication
• Punctual and reliable.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Motivated, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player and safety oriented.
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify and communicate issues is a must.
• Valid safety certificates such as: Fall Arrest, WHMIS, First-Aid, Crane Operator Certificate, Forklift Operator Certificate recommended.
• Valid driver's license & own vehicle.

Major Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, working closely with the design team.
• Strong attention to detail, competent with either imperial or metric dimensioning.
• Ability to utilize and maintain a variety of tools and materials.
• Maintain a high level of quality control and ensure production efficiency.
• Quantify materials from drawings & request materials as needed.
• Maintain production efficiency ensuring project deadlines are met.
• Willingness to be trained on automation equipment.
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
• Ensure work area is clean, tidy & clear of hazards.
• Assist in other departments when required, be adaptable to learn new skills and help out as needed, when needed.

Expectations of the Working Environment

• Be able to thrive within a busy working environment to meet scheduled dates.
• Requires the ability to exert physical effort for materials handling.
• Comfortable wearing a respirator for the associated dust and airborne particles.
• Ability to tolerate the associated noise and odors from machining materials.
• Wearing appropriate PPE dictated by the work conditions.
• Be punctual for shifts, flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
