Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Mobile Technician

Summit Truck & Equipment Repair, a proud Sutherland Group company, is currently seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Mobile Technician to join our team in Salmo, BC. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Travel to customer locations to repair and maintain heavy duty equipment
• Analyze customers’ equipment performance complaints, diagnose cause of any malfunctions and performs repairs
• Communicate effectively with the parts department to obtain required parts
• Inspect equipment to assess if further safety or service work is required or recommended
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
• Test equipment as required
• Maintain company service truck, ensuring it is kept clean and in good repair

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician ticket
• Vast experience in logging and forestry heavy equipment repairs
• Class 5 driver’s licence and clean abstract
• Team player who can share his knowledge by teaching and coaching junior Mechanics
• Strong communication skills

WHAT SUMMIT TRUCK & EQUIPMENT REPAIR OFFERS

• Flexibility on your work week – either a 4 on/4 off rotation with 11 hour day shifts or a standard 5 day work week. No night shifts!
• $40-45 per hour, depending on experience
