Overview:
Richards-Wilcox Canada has an immediate opening for a Junior developer to join our Engineering Team. As a Developer, you will manage project work, enhancements, and fixes, from the request and requirements stage through build, test, and deployment. You will serve as a technical adviser for out of the box Configure One(Revealize) CPQ features and functions. This is a hands-on position that is perfect for a person with strong collaborative skills working in a team and the ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Support the implementation of roadmap from design to deployment, user adoption, and ongoing improvements and system administration.
- Accurately translating business requirements into system functionality requirements.
- Providing strategic technical insight with respect to the CPQ framework
- Development and testing of CPQ/web applications and services following best practices
- Work closely with design & product to craft great product experiences
- Drive product innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development
- Be a technical subject matter expert and represent the full internal and external capabilities of the platform
- Pro-active response in identifying and troubleshooting integration or technical issues
- Identify any product/functionality gaps and collaborate internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution deliver
- Writing clean and highly performant code leveraging test driven development
- Learn and work with various languages and platforms as needed
- Work with minimal direction and complete tasks in a timely manner
Qualifications & Skills:
The ideal candidate will have experience developing web-based applications using Angular JS, jQuery, .NET/C#, HTML5/CSS, Microsoft SQL Server, and JavaScript.
Must Have
- Experience with Angular JS, ASP.net
- Experience with NET/C# web development
- Proficiency with SQL Server and other databases
- Understanding of distributed software systems, asynchronous messaging, and SOAP/RESTful services
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly
- Ability to analyze the business processes and business systems for inefficiencies and lead internal customers to success.
- Ability to lead and facilitate recommendations for solutions or improvements and reviewing solutions that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
- Takes a ‘cradle to grave’ approach to completing projects
Nice to Have
- Experience in the areas of Quote to Cash, from business requirements assessment to solutions as well as coordinating/leading solution design, development/configuration, and deployment across multi-dimensional teams.
- Experience in software development using Java or other object oriented programming languages
- Strong understanding of CPQ capabilities, best practices and limitations and the ability to clearly communicate those to key stakeholders.
- Experience with Product Catalog Configuration and/or Configure-Price-Quote development
- Experience in back-end development of CPQ including but not limited to design of data models, a strong knowledge of SQL and SOSL, and usage of web technologies
