Junior Developer

Who we are: Surge Learning Inc. is one of the largest Learning Management System platforms for the Health Care Industry in Canada and is the leading provider in the Ontario Long Term Care eLearning marketplace. With close to 200,000 registered users across Canada, Surge Learning Inc. provides eLearning, Policy Management and Quality/Risk Management services to the Canadian Health Care Industry.

What we are doing: We are developing the next generation of our SaaS portfolio. Cloud Services are provided by AWS, backend services are based on Java JDK 11 and Angular 13.1.2 is being used for the front end. While developing the new system, we continue to support our current system and need a developer to complement our current team with enhancements to continue to meet the needs of our clients.

Who we are looking for: We are looking for someone who has 2-3 years experience programming using backend PHP and front end Angular. Knowledge and experience on dot.net technology is also an asset.

What you’ll do on a typical day: Development of new features and enhancements to the existing system driven by clients’ requirements and organizational priorities.

Skills and Qualifications:

● 2+ years PHP development experience

● 2+ years Angular development experience

● CSS development experience with CSS3 proficiency

● HTML development experience with HTML5 proficiency and ability to develop cross-browser compatible code

● JavaScript development experience with experience developing custom JavaScript components

● Must have knowledge on ES7 (Java Script, Type Script)

● Knowledge on .NET Framework, C#, MVC.

● Experience with modern web application tools and technologies including REST APIs

● AWS CloudTrail, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Code Commit will be considered an asset

● Excellent communication skills

● Experience with continuous development and continuous deployment model
