We are looking for a Light Vehicle Automotive Technician to support our valued customers in Lac La Biche, Alberta. They’ll inspect light vehicles brought into our shop to diagnose and repair any deficiencies. They’ll also perform any required vehicle inspections and perform routine preventative maintenance.

We are looking for someone who can provide excellent customer service and will build strong relationships in our community.

The successful applicant should be a journeyman or a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year apprentice in the Province of Alberta with experience working on light vehicles. We are happy to offer opportunities for apprentices to complete their training.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect equipment to diagnose vehicle faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
  • Repair equipment and defective parts, components, and systems using hand or power tools
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance, ensuring it meets industry and manufacturer standards and specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with the customer using strong customer service skills
  • Complete work orders accurately and thoroughly for invoicing and tracking purposes

What you need to succeed

  • Journeyman or 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year apprentice as an automotive service technician
  • Experience working with heavy equipment
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds as required
  • Need to be living or relocating to Lac La Biche, Alberta
