General Job Description
Responsible for Robot, PLC, HMI programming and low voltage control activities within a plastic injection-molding environment. Strong interpersonal skills working in a diverse work environment. Hands on ability and trouble-shooting capability, the ability to resolve production and project issues within a professional and timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, Maintain, and Troubleshooting of Automated Equipment.
- Robot programming. Fanuc, Motoman, Star robots. New and existing equipment.
- PLC and HMI programming. Beckhoff, Omron, Allen Bradley.
- Electrical control design – low voltage.
- Low voltage control panel build – control panel wiring.
- Robot integration using Fanuc, Motoman and Star robots.
- Setup and maintain communication networks Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT and PROFINET networks.
- Provide technical advice & assistance to maintenance personnel, contractors, etc.
- Support injection specialists during new product launch and upgrade installations.
- Read electrical schematics and equipment documentation.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Robotics and Automation diploma, Technologist diploma in Electrical engineering, Industrial Electrician license, Electronics Technician Certificate or equivalent training and experience.
- Read / Write English and able to communicate well with others.
- Ability to communicate with skilled trades at all levels of experience and management
- Ability to exercise balanced judgment in evaluation situations and making decisions
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
