Manager of Adult Services Job at Community Living-Central Huron
Community Living-Central Huron is dedicated to full inclusion and citizenship of all individuals. The agency is a registered charity, providing services and supports to children, youth and adults with an intellectual disability and their families. We are currently seeking a dynamic leadership role with a commitment to the agency’s vision, mission, and strategic direction as Manager of Adult Services.
Manager of Adult Services (Full-Time)
The Manager of Adult Services will be responsible for leading the direct operations of Adult Services; including Residential Services, Employment Support and Supported Independent Living. This position will provide leadership to the Supervisors who oversee these programs. The Manager of Adult Services will work collaboratively with other members of management team to set agency direction, manage resources and budgets. This role will report directly to the Director of Supports and Services.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure performance management protocols are adhered to in relation to the responsibilities and requirements of various positions within Adult Services
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Measures, MCCSS and OSHA
- Assist with the development and implementation of training curriculum, or alternative response strategies, to ensure training needs and goals specific to Adult Services are met
- Manage the day-to-day administration of supports within Adult Services
- Implement and monitor coaching and mentoring processes with Supervisors for direct support professionals
- Monitor various program budgets
- Develop and implement long and short-term goals that align with the Agency’s Strategic Plan, Vision, Mission and Service Principles
- Collaborate with the Director of Supports and Services to identify and develop a balanced set of strategic objectives and initiatives for implementation
- Provide oversight and support in the design and delivery of services; evaluate and manage optimal quality of life and quality of care for the people we support
- Provide on-call rotation support and be available for the purpose of consultation and response in the event of an emergency
- Embrace a culture of continuous learning and demonstrate a growth mindset in performing duties
- Perform as a collaborative role model for Supervisors and direct support professionals
- Lead and develop quality improvement projects and initiatives, which include change management
- Participate on internal and external committees and ensure awareness of current trends and community resources related to Adult Services
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills including strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt and manage change in a fast-paced environment
Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management position in the Human Services field
- Post-secondary degree Diploma/Degree in a related field
- Experience with non-profit agencies considered an asset
- Experience in a unionized setting and knowledge of employee/labour relations
- Must be self-directed with strong organizational and documentation skills
