Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling our custom designed industrial equipment to required specifications. This position includes international travel to customer sites to install, commission new equipment and troubleshoot existing equipment on site. You will interact and collaborate with all departments, including our in house engineering and machine shop in order to design and build our custom machinery.
Key Duties Include*
- Precision alignment of rotating equipment
- Assembly of belt, chain, and vibrating conveyors
- Integration of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrically driven equipment
- Reviewing detailed drawings to perform precision installation
- Troubleshooting and adjustment pre-shipment and at customer locations
- Work safely in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Evaluating equipment performance and providing proposals for improvement
- Support Engineering using your mechanical experience to resolve customer issues
- Participate in Pre/Post-Design reviews.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Completion of 3rd year of apprenticeship
- Preference given to those experienced in machine building and installation
- Knowledge of sawmill machinery and controls considered an asset
- Solid knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic components and devices.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work extra hours to ensure a successful project when required
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and willingness to use personal protective equipment
- Self-motivated, driven individual who is organized, demonstrates good problem-solving skills and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Deftness and attention to detail
- Willing and able to travel internationally. Must have or able to obtain passport.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $27.25-$37.00 per hour
