Genpak is hiring an Office Generalist

JOB SUMMARY:

The Office Generalist is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of purchase order generation, inventory management, customer service, and payroll backup. The Office Generalist is responsible for ensuring that all requests are properly authorized and supported with appropriate documentation. In addition, it is critical that this individual reviews backup to ensure that they are correct and in compliance with the organization's policy. This position is backing up a variety of jobs and pitching in to take up the workload where needed. You would need to be a quick learner and able to be a team player.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Process purchase orders in Oracle, and ensure sufficient backup is attached

2. Expedite and follow up with vendors regarding delivery dates

3. Source quotations and determine optimal purchase pricing & quantities

4. Provide effective customer service support, process sales orders and invoices

5. Provide quotations for quantity, price, and delivery at customer request

6. Complete & provide information to customs brokers & authorities as requested

7. Liaise with customers & vendors regarding price discrepancies and damaged

goods

8. Backup hourly payroll as needed

9. Prepare and maintain files and appropriate documentation for reference

10. Update standard cost within accounting system

11. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent required (Degree educated preferred)

· Minimum two years of similar experience.

· Experience in general office management in a manufacturing environment is desired

· Ability to work effectively within a team.

· Knowledgeable and experience in MS Excel and Word.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Detail-oriented, fast learner, efficient, strong organizational and analytical skills.

· Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience with Oracle is an asset.
