Purpose and Responsibilities

As our new sales representative, you will initiate and build relationships with existing and new customers in the Southern Saskatchewan territory. Our area of focus includes construction, aggregate, road building, municipal, supply/distribution, and forestry markets. You will actively pursue business growth while maintaining customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a motivated, highly professional, and confident individual with a passion for sales, who loves getting out and building relationships, and isn't afraid to get in the cab to operate our equipment and demonstrate the benefits to the customer.

The Successful Candidate will have:

• Enthusiasm
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of heavy equipment and a strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to engage with contractors, public works supervisors, maintenance superintendents, and purchasing agents.
• Strong presentation and computer skills
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory of Southern Saskatchewan
• Time management and organizational skills with a commitment to do what it takes to help the customer
• Professional attitude and the ability to work in a team environment
• Candidate must have the ability to generate sales via existing and new customers and grow market share in the designated territory
• Willingness to do daily and weekly call reports and itineraries
• Ability to meet with customers to address concerns and provide solutions

Additional Qualifications Desired:

• Minimum 5 years in outside sales role, preferably selling construction equipment
• Participate in industry or promotional events (i.e., trade shows) to create customer relations
• New business development experience with revenue responsibility.
• Ability and commitment to learn the product offering
• Exceptional presentation and teaming skills.
