PSW (Personal Support Worker)
Hours: Part Time/Full Time days
Sign on bonus of $1500 offered to qualified PSWs!
ParaMed/Extendicare is pleased to partner with HealthForceOntario (HFO) as an approved employer for the PSW Return Of Service (PSWROS) which provides a $5,000 retention bonus to eligible PSWs in exchange for a 6-month, full-time commitment.
Community PSWs are now being offered a temporary $3.00/hour wage enhancement for patient care hours from the provincial government! This is your opportunity to make a difference in your community!
Job Description:
- Personal Hygiene care of clients such as bathing, showering, sponge baths
- Assist clients/patient with toilet needs
- Assist clients/patient with grooming
- Assist client/patient with partial and full dressing
- Assist with medication administration
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Cognitive, social and emotional support
Requirements:
- Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma
- Nursing student, Foreign trained Nurse/Medical Profession
- Experience working in the community is an asset but not required
- Ability to travel between client homes
