Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking Planning and Scheduling Specialist, reporting to the Medium to Heavy Lift Helicopter (MHLH) Program Manager, working out of the Ottawa office.
Planning and Scheduling Specialist will join the Program Management team within the MHLH Program to provide planning and scheduling support for the program and growth opportunities including specific special projects. The MHLH Program team is responsible for providing comprehensive In-Service Support to the CH147F Chinook fleet of the Royal Canadian Air Force. This support includes program management, spares and tooling, integrated logistics, training, engineering, as well deployment support.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains, an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements.
Produces metrics for plans and schedules for moderately complex projects, programs, and change activities across the lifecycle of a program.
Performs studies/analysis and planning efforts, within and/or across programs/projects, organizations or business units to determine impacts, constraints, and plans involving product development, production rates, production development activities, process improvement, or program initiatives.
Develops the Integrated Master Plan, schedule and supports change incorporation plans related to integrated scheduling products.
Performs integration of program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers and partners of moderate complexity.
Identifies, analyzes and reports performance variances to management. Works with customers to develop performance recovery plans and incorporates recovery plans where appropriate.
Provides training and mentoring to lower level employees.
This position is in-office with telecommuting option at the discretion of the Program Management department. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the Ottawa, Ontario office. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in Planning and/or Scheduling Projects
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Must hold G Drivers License or provincial equivalent
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Post-secondary education
Active Secret Level II
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government. Requirements to obtain a secret security clearance can be found at:
