About the Role:

Vidyard is looking for a Canadian based Product Designer (Eastern Timezone) to join our Product Design team at the intermediate level. Reporting to the Director of Design, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with your cross-functional team of talented designers, product managers, engineers, marketers and data analysts. You will collaborate with your cross functional group to define roadmaps and goals to create beautifully designed products.

About the Team:

Our Product Design team consists of 8 talented designers who come from a variety of experience backgrounds. They lead the end to end design process and are involved in everything from research, ideation to launch. Each designer is embedded in a squad that focuses on different parts of Vidyard's product. This designer will sit on the Idea Labs squad which is working on exploring opportunities and leveraging different areas for growth, many rooted in AI technology!

What You'll Work On:

  • Designing the end to end user experience of our video creation, and editing tools
  • Conducting user research initiatives to identify user needs, behaviours, and opportunities
  • Rapid ideation of multiple design concepts and prototypes
  • Conducting user testing to validate design solutions
  • Collaborating with the design team to create a high quality, cohesive user experience
  • Documenting design decisions, processes, and outcomes to ensure that product designs are consistent and can be replicated in the future

As an Intermediate Product Designer You Can Expect to:

  • Own the UX Design strategy on the Create squad, partnering with your Product Manager and Engineering peers to ensure that designs meet customer, technical and business requirements
  • Use data to make and measure design decisions
  • Give and receive regular feedback in design critiques to improve the product experience
  • Work with Senior Designers to continuously improve your knowledge, skills and design toolkit

What You'll Bring to this Role and Your New Team:

  • 2-4 years of Product Design experience
  • Design experience at a product-led growth organization, ideally with a freemium to paid product
  • Ability to own the end-to-end design process, from rough ideas and wireframes to high fidelity prototypes using tools such as Figma
  • Experience with research and testing methods required to develop customer empathy and validate ideas.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment with a focus on impact and learning
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • An online portfolio
